Principal

Ted Spaid is a principal and co-founder of SWT Design. Ted is known around the country for his practical knowledge of park planning, landscape design, horticulture, environmental planning, and landscape maintenance procedures. He is well respected by clients and peers providing a unique vision for every landscape architectural design project. His landscape design talents are sought out by many public and private institutions seeking to delight and immerse visitors into their unique environments. Prior to SWT Design, Ted was an Associate Landscape Architect with HOK for eleven years, working on Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Burger King World Headquarters, in addition to many other projects. He also was a Landscape Gardener at the Missouri Botanical Gardens providing grounds maintenance. He is a cum laude graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture.
